Sabah: Kundasang War Memorial, Tanjung Aru Beach.
07:03 One last post about Sabah before moving on! On the way back from Kundasang Cow Farm, we stopped at the Kundasang War Memorial to have a look. At RM2/entry what's to lose. It's a memorial garden dedicated to the lives of soldiers sacrificed during the war in Sandakan. Nothing much to see in there but many plants. There were 4 different gardens in there if not mistaken. Perfect spot to camwhore ! The irony. Reminds me of Hercules. By the time we drove back to the Kota Kinabalu, it was already night. We went to Welcome Seafood Restaurant to satisfy our seafood cravings. Overall, I think it was good. Price was reasonable other than the fish which costed around RM60. Since we went to the restaurant quite late (we were going round and round because we couldn't find the restaurant), they ran out of rm18/kg crabs. The next day before heading to the airport, we went to Tanjung Aru beach for a stroll since it was near the airport. Not as pretty as Pulau Manukan was, but it was surprisingly clean for a public beach. My friend and I were overwhelmed when we saw this shop doing temporary tattoos in the mall near our hotel, Karamunsing Complex i think? So we walked to the shop early in the morning to get them done. Less than RM10 per tattoo! Although mine lasted for 2 days only. Towards the right end of the beach, there was a food court selling all varieties of local food. An abrupt end to this post. Next post would be about Sarawak ! 0 Comments: |
