Escaping to Sabah, Part 2.
07:04 tOn the second day, we went to Poring Hot Springs which is about 2-hour drive away from the city center of Kota Kinabalu. The journey was unbearably long but the view outside was incredible. And we're there ! Poring Hot Springs. We didn't know it would be so cold there so all of us wore shorts and tees. But it was quite chilly out there, so if you're going there next time, wear long pants! You can always change into shorts later. When we reached there, I was a little disappointed. My friend told us before it'd be different from what we'd expected (ie one big pool of hot water) but still ! A photo of us soaking our legs in tubs of hot water. Basically there are many empty tubs outdoor so when you've chosen the tub, you just turn on the tap and wait for 30 minutes while hot water fills the tub. Each tub is probably about 0.8m deep and fits around 4 person at a time. The hot spring itself was quite disappointing but luckily there were other parks available there as well such as butterfly farm and canopy walkway which were pretty cheap. But we didn't manage to enter as we enter in a rush to go to Kundasang Cow Farm. Most important question here: Was it smelly ? Surprisingly it wasn't! I mean it didn't smell good but the smell was tolerable. Better than what I'd expected. In the meanwhile, we went outside to camwhore while waiting. Better than doing nothing right. Other than just watching the cows being milked, they also sell fresh milk. So we were watching the cows milked, while drinking their milk. The irony and cruelty.
