1 Month. 11:50

It's been officially 1 month since I've left home. Everything's pretty much settled down and I really enjoy being in Glasgow, while occasionally wishing there are Malaysian hawker stalls here. Shops here close pretty early, as early as 7pm on a Sunday evening.

So the other day, we went to a flea market nearby to explore around. There have everything there, sort of like pasar malam back in Malaysia, except it's Scottish style.

Colourful muffins !
Bought one with candies on top which costed me 3 pounds.

Churro with chocolate sauce!
It's like a fried doughnut pastry, which was quite dry to me.

Tons and tons of sweets.
Notice the green licorice in the center? Looks like long bean!

And roasted potato and pork! Which tastes so good.
Doesn't look like a lot but trust me, I almost vomited after finishing the whole thing.

On a different side note, this is how my room looks like after laundry day. Because kiam siap people like me prefer to handwash my clothes instead of paying 3 pounds for laundry, so it's like clothes war in my room.

According to my friend, it's not good to hang clothes indoor because wet clothes will emit carcinogenic substances while drying.

AIH what to do, kiam siap.

During my 3rd week here, I found a part time job in a Chinese restaurant. It feels so good working with Chinese from different parts of the world. It's probably the only place where speaking Chinese makes me feel so, special.

What I work as, basically, is as a dish-wiper wtf. I thought I'd be doing waitressing job but as a newcomer I had to start from the lowest - wiping plates and kitchen utensils from the dishwasher. Not that I'm complaining, I find myself liking my job somehow. Instead of communicating with customers (my worst fear), I get to talk craps with my colleagues instead, and getting paid for it!

And yeah, I'll probably be the first to get fired as well (sighs). But spending money which is earned by myself never felt so good.

Haagen daaz for 3 pounds per tub. Cheap bargain isn't it!?

That's all for today's entry. Bye!
