Leaving home. 14:30

Hello people! I'm currently stuck in Dubai airport waiting for the next plane in few hours. Finally got a comfortable seat after walking round and round in the airport. Got nothing to do so I guess I'll write a little while waiting.

Today I'm finally leaving Malaysia to continue my studies. Not sure what the plan will be for the next few days but I'm pretty sure once I reach the hostel I'll be hibernating until god knows when.

Initially I was a little nervous because it was my first time leaving home for so long and so far. Being born and bred in KL, I've never lived in other places other than my house so it's hard for me to imagine how living alone outside feels like.

One thing I've always imagined happening when I live outside is getting a random roommate who will eventually become my next best friend, just like how JD and Turk met in Scrubs. It seems so magical to me how 2 random people can meet and become best friends forever. At the same time I'm glad I got to choose my own roommates instead, because there's a high chance my roommate might turn out to be an inconsiderate douchebag who blasts music all night long.

Looking at people walking past me at the airport made me realize how different we all are. We're all heading to different destinations for different aims. But my pathway still lies blurry in front of me. What if I took the road less travelled. I might be a millionaire now, or maybe struggling everyday trying to make ends meet.

Ok abrupt stop here because I have no idea what to write. Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep now.
